St. John’s is actively involved with Community Solutions, an organization founded in 1972 as a teen drop-in center. The organization has grown in both depth and breadth of services in response to the growing and changing needs of our community. We have a monthly giving Sunday where we collect food and various items of need for the families that depend on Community Solutions for assistance. Depending on the month, we might be collecting backpacks to start the school year, Christmas presents to brighten the holidays, or just basic necessities such as diapers.
Backpacks and supplies are collected for Community Solutions to distribute prior to the beginning of the school year.
Thank you for considering a gift to St. John’s Episcopal Church. Your gifts of time, energy and resources make St. John’s a vital church in Morgan Hill for everyone.
Contributions are the backbone for everything we do at St. John’s … from special programs for assisting those in need to covering basic operating expenses. For your convenience, we are pleased that we are able to provide a link for online giving.
We have an active and inclusive prayer community here at St. John the Divine! In addition to prayer time during church services, we have a Prayer Chain team who devote part of their private prayer time to your prayer requests. You can share as much information as you are comfortable with, and upon receipt, your prayer request will be shared with our Prayer Chain. If you provide your email, we will include your prayer request in our ongoing weekly prayer list.
To request prayers, please complete the form below or reach out to us directly at 408-781-1826. We welcome all prayer requests for people of any faith or background, for support or for thanksgiving. The Knitting Friends have been knitting and crocheting together for about 20 years, and our group includes people from various local churches. We hand-make prayer shawls and lap blankets that are blessed by Rev. Karen for our community. Knitted with love, we hope these gifts bring peace and comfort to those in need. We love to welcome new knitters to join us!
