Lunch on the Lawn

We gather on the second Thursday of the month at 11:30 for a BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch) to catch up with friends, ask questions, share stories, or just share a meal in the company of others gathered. We also take advantage of our beautiful lawn setting for other fellowship events. And if it’s raining, we’ll gather inside. All are welcome!

Labyrinth walks

We are blessed to have a beautiful labyrinth that provides a location for a unique spiritual experience where individuals and groups can participate in a meaningful form of active meditation. Open to the public, the labyrinth courtyard has become a place for anyone to simply sit and rest awhile.

LGBTQIA+

Our church also welcomes and celebrates the accomplishments of local LGBTQIA individuals and groups, showing that Morgan Hill is a diverse and inclusive city where everyone is welcome. As was recently stated at the city’s raising of the rainbow inclusive flag, there are still numerous places in the country and across the globe that do not accept those who are part of LGBTQIA community (or identify with the LGBTQIA+ community). 

St. John’s encourages all to work together for an even more inclusive community.

KNITTING GROUP:

The Knitting Friends have been knitting together for about 20 years, but we love to invite new knitters to join us. Knitting Friends includes people from various local churches, and the prayer shawls and lap blankets are handmade and blessed by Rev. Karen. Knitted with love, we hope these bring peace and comfort to those in need.

ALTAR AND FLOWER GUILDS

The Altar Guild, working as a team, has the privilege of laying out the linens and vessels for the weekly and any special services that are celebrated. Guild members get to know the liturgical colors, traditions and gospel readings season by season, year by year. What a joy! New members warmly welcomed.
The Flower Guild is a group of dedicated and devoted volunteers who have the responsibility for the arranging and placement of flowers for regular worship and special services within the church. Flowers may be given in memory of loved ones, in celebration of an anniversary or a birth, or for any occasion for which we give thanks to God.
